Cookie policy
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Here is every cookie zappenglish.com and ingles.fm set, what each one is for, and how to say no.
The cookies we use
| Cookie | What it’s for | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
zapp_consent | Remembers your choice in our cookie banner, so we don’t ask again. | 12 months |
zapp_pack | Remembers that you’ve entered the Welcome Pack password, so you don’t have to type it again. Only set on the Welcome Pack page. | 30 days |
_ga, _ga_… | Google Analytics: counts visits and shows which pages and episodes people find most useful, for our own internal reports. | Up to 2 years |
Your choice
Our cookie banner lets you accept or deny them all. You can change your mind at any time with “Cookie settings” at the foot of every page. In the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google Analytics stays off until you accept; everywhere else it runs until you deny. We know which country you are in from your connection, through Cloudflare, our web host, and we don’t keep it. If you deny, wherever you are, Google Analytics is switched off and nothing more is sent to Google. zapp_consent and zapp_pack only let the site remember what you asked it to, and hold no personal information.
What we don’t do
- No advertising or remarketing cookies.
- We never sell your information or share it for anyone else’s use.
Other sites
Some links take you to services run by other companies, with their own cookies and policies: our shop (shop.zappenglish.com, run by Gumroad) and podcast apps such as Spotify and Apple Podcasts. The email sign-up forms send your address to Brevo, our email service, but load nothing from Brevo, so they set no cookies.
