Information we collect

We only collect personally identifiable information for the following purposes:

E-mail list service

If customers wish to subscribe to our e-mail list service, we ask for personal information such as e-mail address. We use a professional third-party email subscription service called Aweber (please visit for more information) to maintain our email lists and distribute our newsletters as needed. Recipients of our newsletter can be removed from the mailing list by sending a removal request to Neither Zapp! English nor Aweber will share your name or email address with anyone else.

Product orders

When ordering from our site, your transaction is handled exclusively by an outside secure service company called PayPal, which you can visit at PayPal are fully PCI compliant meaning all systems are regularly audited for security. PayPal may store your contact and payment information to process transactions and to deliver the purchased product or service. You may review PayPal’s own privacy policy here.

For the purposes of maintaining customer accounts, order tracking and refunds, Zapp! English also stores a copy of your name, email address, IP address and residency country along with your order history and system access log in our secure database.

Customer Support

If you email us for help, suggestions, or other requests, we will only use your contact information to respond to your inquiries and provide follow-up assistance. We use a US-based company called Freshdesk as a help-desk service. Neither Freshdesk nor Zapp! English ever share your personal information with anyone else.

Non-personal information

In addition to personal information, Zapp! English also collects information that is not personally identifiable in order to improve the quality of the products and services we offer. We collect non-personal information in the following ways:

Website usage statistics

As is true of most websites, we automatically collect and record basic information about visitors to websites, including date/time stamps, page views and file downloads, IP addresses, browser types and languages, referring and exit pages, and operating system versions. We use this information to analyze trends, administer the sites, learn about user behavior on our sites, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We may use this aggregated information in our marketing and advertising services.


The websites utilise cookies to improve the services we offer online. No personal information is stored in the cookies or collected by Zapp! English. The non-personal information we gather through the use of cookies is the same as listed above under website usage statistics. This information may be used in the future to improve our advertising efforts.

Cookies and Remarketing

From time to time Zapp! English uses a cookie based system known as ‘remarketing’ to advertise online. This means we sometimes place a cookie on visitors’ computers or devices that other companies, like Google, use to advertise our products to you on other websites around the web. This allows us to target the adverts based on your past visits to our websites.

If you wish, you can opt-out of Google’s use of these cookies by visiting Google’s Ads settings, or you can opt out of other companies’ use of these cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

How we use your information

Zapp! English uses your personal information to provide you with services and to help us better understand your needs and interests. Specifically, we use your information to help you complete a product order or refund, to communicate with you, to provide service and support, to update you on services and benefits, and to send promotional offers. Credit card or other payment information is used only by PayPal for payment processing, and is not accessible by any employees at Zapp! English. It is not used for any other purpose and is not kept longer than necessary for providing the services.

Zapp! English does not share, distribute, or sell your personal information to any third parties, except for billing purposes (see “Product orders” above). We consider it our responsibility to protect our customers’ privacy.

Although most changes are likely to be minor, Zapp! English may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and without prior notice.
