Ingles.fm and Zappenglish.com are both owned by Zapp! English. We take your privacy and security very seriously, and do not ask you for your personal information unless we truly need it.
Information we collect
We only collect personally identifiable information for the following purposes:
E-mail list service
If you join one of our email lists, we ask for your email address (the Spanish list also asks for your first name). We use two professional email services to keep the lists and send our emails: AWeber for the English list on zappenglish.com, and Brevo for the Spanish list on ingles.fm. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link at the foot of every email, or by writing to info@zappenglish.com. Neither Zapp! English, AWeber nor Brevo will share your name or email address with anyone else.
Product orders
Our courses are sold through Gumroad, which runs the checkout, takes your payment (by card, PayPal or the other methods it offers) and sends your receipt and download link. Your payment details go to Gumroad and its payment processors, never to us. You can read Gumroad's privacy policy.When you buy, Gumroad shares with us the name and email address you give at checkout, your country and what you bought, so that we can help you with your order, your downloads and any refund.
Customer Support
If you email us for help, suggestions, or other requests, we will only use your contact information to respond to your inquiries and provide follow-up assistance. We use a US-based company called Freshdesk as a help-desk service. Neither Freshdesk nor Zapp! English ever share your personal information with anyone else.
Non-personal information
In addition to personal information, Zapp! English also collects information that is not personally identifiable in order to improve the quality of the products and services we offer. We collect non-personal information in the following ways:
Website usage statistics
As is true of most websites, we automatically collect and record basic information about visitors to Zappenglish.com websites, including date/time stamps, page views and file downloads, IP addresses, browser types and languages, referring and exit pages, and operating system versions. We use this information to analyze trends, administer the sites, learn about user behavior on our sites, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We use this information only for our own internal reports, to improve the sites.
Cookies
The Zappenglish.com websites utilise cookies to improve the services we offer online. No personal information is stored in the cookies or collected by Zapp! English. The non-personal information we gather through the use of cookies is the same as listed above under website usage statistics. We use cookies only for analytics: Google Analytics counts visits and shows which pages and episodes people find most useful, for our own internal reports. We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies, and we never sell this information or share it for anyone else’s use. You can accept or refuse analytics cookies at any time with “Cookie settings” at the foot of every page; the full list is in our cookie policy.
How we use your information
Zapp! English uses your personal information to provide you with services and to help us better understand your needs and interests. Specifically, we use your information to help you complete a product order or refund, to communicate with you, to provide service and support, to update you on services and benefits, and to send promotional offers. Card and other payment details are used only by Gumroad and its payment processors, and nobody at Zapp! English can see them. It is not used for any other purpose and is not kept longer than necessary for providing the services.
Zapp! English does not share, distribute, or sell your personal information to any third parties, except for billing purposes (see “Product orders” above). We consider it our responsibility to protect our customers’ privacy.

Although most changes are likely to be minor, Zapp! English may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and without prior notice.
